Ecosystem
The shark is essential to our world's ecosystem. The sharks control and effect actively every creature in our sea. Without the shark, feeders would overpopulate and things lower than the sharks on the food chain would die out.
Shark fin soup possible ban in Toronto, Ontario
Hello, my name is Oriana harris. I am a marine activist. I act for sharks. This is my first blog post so, I would like to help you know me better. I have won an award of excellence in the education category for my shark presentations. I like to show people what the ocean really means to me and what it can mean to them. Sharks are probably the most misunderstood animal in the world.

This very day, Toronto Ontario is thinking about banning shark fin soup. Shark fin soup is an asian delicacy that is made of the fin of a shark and meat broth. The fin itself is tasteless and serves texture of meat. Every year over 100 million sharks are killed for their fins to be put into shark fin soup. Their fins are ripped off (all 3) and hen the rest of the live carcass is thrown into the water to bleed to death, die of starvation or exhaustion.
I, myself, am doing a petition against shark finning with a goal of 1000 signatures. If you wish to sign, please email me here and I will help you sign.
